I have to admit, when it comes to typography, I’m borderline obsessive, often agonizing over which typeface to use for something as minute as the copyright symbol. With editorial design, finding that visual voice is crucial. The imagery and typeface choices could make or break the design. A memorable story should make your heart skip a beat every time you turn the page. It should make you feel.
Peggy Wong
Wayfare was founded on the belief that travel is not defined by how many miles you cover. It’s about finding inspiration along the journey and celebrating the everyday moments. A world traveller since the age of eight (with 23 countries and counting), Peggy couldn’t agree more with that sentiment.
Wayfare first launched as a digital magazine, tapping Peggy as a contributing photographer for the pilot issue. When there were talks about turning the magazine into print, they contacted Peggy once again, but this time for design. Tackling the project head-on, Peggy became the Creative Director and worked alongside the Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Erica Dublin, on launching the first print issue and subsequent digital issues. From concepting to designing, photo editing to art directing, you can say this was Peggy’s brainchild.

Light, color, form — these are the elements that give the work of Leigh Beisch rare beauty, poetry and warmth.
Peggy first met Leigh while art directing a shoot for Williams Sonoma, and the two hit it off right away. Working with images as beautiful as Leigh’s is a designer’s dream come true. Honoring her unique gift for visual languages, Peggy complements Leigh’s photography seamlessly with her strong editorial and typographic skills. The results are absolutely pin-worthy.

Peggy has an incredible knack for beautiful compositions, both in her design work and her photography. I have come to rely on her ability to curate my imagery in a way that narrates well, while letting the photography shine through. Whatever I throw at her, she takes on and creates stunning work. Peggy has incredible taste, a wonderful attitude, and is a creative problem solver. This is why I have people calling and emailing me to find out who designs my campaigns.
